Introduction

Okay for those who are wondering why this blog is called Adventures in Europe Part 3, well this is my third extended trip to Europe in the last 14 months but this time I am not really a tourist but a resident. Okay not a real resident but an expat living among the Dutch. So you won't find any Part 1 or 2 to this blog but those who read Dick's blog on our trip to Italy, Malta, Sicily, Sardinia, Marseilles, Portugal and Spain have some idea of what we did, what we ate, as well as the ups and downs of travel. I suspect that I will refer back to some of those events and post a few photos from our adventures on this blog and provide some more color commentary.

Well why am I going back to the "circus"?!? Good question and one I am not certain I know the answer either. Part of this is to continue the live abroad experience that Dick and I had during our 2011 EU adventures and the other part is that I do miss (gasp) working. Okay the last part does need a lot of qualification as I do enjoy not having to get dressed every morning before 10 am. But I am referring to the process of problem solving in the area of regulatory requirements and IT applications. I will not like the politics, personal agendas, and mind games that will happen during the project team "status" meeting.

I haven't decided the format type nor the frequency of this blog. Most likely it will be a travelogue mixed with a few rants. And no this blog will not be about all of the coffeeshops where you can buy coffee and weed but not alcohol but yes there may be few comments now and then but if you need info I recommend going to http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/index.htm and do your own research.

So today is my third day in Amsterdam and I still have jet lag...............
